Twitmo Honor Roll

First, they came for the Jews

And I did not speak out because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for the Communists

And I did not speak out because I was not a Communist.

Then they came for the trade unionists

And I did not speak out because I was not a trade unionist.

Then they came for me

And there was no one left to speak out for me.

Pastor Martin Niemöller

Another line can be added to that poem.

Then they came for the Skeptics

(or Climate Deniers or whatever the Put-down-du jour is.)

So I have decided that an honor roll for those skeptics and deniers who get booted from Twitter is in order.

I’ll start with Tony from Real Science, aka Steve Goddard:

Then for the next honoree:

Tom Nelson:

Updated 4/3/2015  @tan123 is again on the loose.  Good luck Tom.

So, I think there should be recognition for their fine efforts.  A good conduct badge or something.

If there are other worthy individuals who are so mistreated, let me know and I will add their names to this honor roll.

  1. I absolutely love “TWITMO”!!!

It is the perfect intersection of scientifically based free-speech meeting political correctness, also known as the TWITTERVERSE

where trolls lurk and rational thought ceases to exist

  2. An interesting note is that Tony Heller has censored some of us for trying to teach him physics! (He has been taught that the “greenhouse effect” is valid science for Earth’s atmosphere. Several of us commenters, last fall, tried to teach him why that is bogus. We got banned!)

So, what goes around comes around, or something like that….

    • Anyone who has a blog, has the right to determine who may or may not comment, what comments are acceptable and which ones are not.

As far as twitter goes, they have the right to determine who may or who may not utilize what they offer. Whether or not Tony or Tom deserves to be banned, I leave unto others to debate. All I am doing here is providing an honor roll for those who have been banned, apparently because they fall into the category of questioning AGW proponents.

Beyond that, it is a matter of que sera, sera.

      • And, I agree with all that. It’s just that there is something interesting (funny?) about a site that claims “real science”, yet bans real science.

(BTW, this is my first time at your site. I like it! I’ve spent a lot of time in Wyoming, so it kind of brings back great memories, like seeing 5 different semi-trucks tossed on their sides by a blizzard, north of Cheyenne on I-25, in about a 30 mile stretch.)

      • I think Ironic would cover what you are talking about. Or perhaps karma, in a way. One irony is in Twitter’s mission statement: “Our mission: To give everyone the power to create and share ideas and information instantly, without barriers.”

Thank you for the kind words about the site.

Only five semis? Must have been a MILD blizzard then. LOL. There are two sites I know of where they decided not to install wind-farms because the wind would have blown them away.
